The elegant interior space of the new ship was designed by Enrique Concha & Co, a renowned interior design studio based in Santiago, Chile. Every detail, from color to material to light, has been carefully selected to create a modern atmosphere of comfort, style and efficiency that enhances the traveler's experience.
Suites and Cabins:
Magellan Explorer has five different room types to choose from, ranging from 20 square meters to around 40 square meters. All suites and most cabins have a private balcony. The beds in most rooms can be set up as either one queen bed or two separate beds on request.
Facilities & Services:
Public areas include a spacious bow viewing hall and bar, which can also be used for presentations and lectures. The bow deck, together with an outdoor viewing platform, provides customers with open views and a platform to experience the full extent of the Antarctic natural environment. The onboard restaurant can accommodate all passengers and expedition members at the same time. There are also meeting rooms, a library, a gift shop, a specially protected outdoor barbecue area, a gym and a sauna on board. Optional additional adventure activities such as kayaking and snowshoeing are also available.
Cruise Features:
Magellan Explorer was built according to the latest polar standards, with the highest ice breaking rating of polar Class 6 (Lloyd's PC6, equivalent to 1A Super). For greater sailing comfort, the ship is equipped with Fin stabilizer. Lateral thrusters at the bow and stern add to the vessel's flexibility. The ship is equipped with the most advanced ice radar to ensure the safety of Antarctic navigation. In addition, the ship is also equipped with an energy recovery system from an environmental perspective, which can use the heat generated by the engine to heat the boat and hot water, reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment.

Please arrive at Punta Arenas Airport in Chile before 2pm where Antarctic Century 21 staff will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, go to the Explorer's Home Base Camp to participate in the mandatory pre-trip safety briefing, including important information on the Antarctic flight itinerary and Antarctic tour guides. Afterwards, enjoy a welcome dinner to meet friends who have joined the expedition and sample local specialties.

2. Cancellation 187 days or more prior to departure: the remaining deposit will be refunded after a deduction of USD 1,700 per person.
3. Cancellation within 184 to 127 days prior to departure: the deposit paid will not be refunded.
4. Cancellation within 124 to 97 days prior to departure: 10% of the amount paid will be refunded if the full balance has been received.

9. We reserve the right to cancel the trip for any reason prior to the scheduled departure date. We have the sole and absolute right to decide on the cancellation of travel. In the event of such a cancellation, we will refund all monies paid by the traveler or the agency, including the deposit described in the above terms. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for known or unknown damages, direct or indirect, or for air fares, hotel fees or any other expenses incurred or likely to be incurred by the Traveller.
We also reserve the right to change or delete any part of the itinerary in the traveler's sole discretion, if practicable, with notice to the traveler. Such itinerary changes shall not be deemed to be cancellations by us. We will do everything possible to ensure that our travelers' travel goals are achieved.

It has been operating Antarctic flights since 2003. Over the years, the company has accumulated extensive experience in coordinating land, sea and air operations in the extreme Antarctic environment. In general, most flights are able to depart as scheduled, but in some cases, flight departure times may have to be adjusted to weather conditions to avoid longer delays. Although the probability is not high, if due to uncontrollable reasons such as bad weather it is not possible to fly to Antarctica on the scheduled date, we will implement contingency plans.
Contingency plans are included in the cost of your expedition. The main purpose of the program is to provide you with a wonderful and comfortable travel experience while adapting to the changing weather. Whether in Punta or Antarctica, we'll keep you updated. The change in flight schedules could affect the flight plan between Antarctica and Punta Arenas, which includes a range of activities that are flexible depending on the circumstances. In addition, if the weather is so bad that it is impossible to travel to Antarctica, the contingency plan will provide you with financial protection such as a refund.
1. If the flight from Punta Arenas to Antarctica is advanced:
In certain weather conditions, it may be necessary to advance the flight to Antarctica to the afternoon or early evening of the first day of the trip, thus requiring an early departure from Punta Arenas to arrive in Antarctica. That's why we ask our customers to arrive in Punta before 2pm on the first day of their trip.
2. If your flight from Punta to Antarctica is delayed:
The team will stop in Punta Arenas and wait until the weather is right before flying to the South Pole. The fee includes accommodation and meals at a Cape Horn hotel or equivalent, as well as excursions to special local attractions when available at the time. If it is still not possible to reach Antarctica by 2pm on the fourth day of the trip, the trip will be stopped and the expedition fee will be refunded.
3. If the return flight from Antarctica to Punta is advanced:
If weather forecasts suggest several days of severe weather in Antarctica, the return flight to Punta Arenas may be moved up to the night before to avoid a prolonged holdup in Antarctica. Pick-up on arrival in Punta and accommodation at a Cape Horn hotel or comparable hotel are included in the fee. All other charges are included in the original itinerary and no other refunds are available.
4. In the event of a delay in the return flight from Antarctica to Punta:
The team will stop at the South Pole before returning to Punta Arenas depending on weather conditions. In the extremely rare case of delays of more than two days and weather forecasts indicating that flights will not take off in the coming days, the captain may choose to sail back to South America for safety reasons. Meals, accommodation and excursions on board are included in the cost of the expedition. After arriving in Punta Arenas, the trip will end at the airport. Any costs associated with changes in ticket or subsequent travel plans are borne by the traveler.
